Sealing The Distance Between Us And Them is an immersive installation inspired by a Chinese website: the Domestic Unknown Corpse Database. I tried to discuss the immeasurable and insurmountable distance between life and death behind the website and the sad fact that human beings are a large group yet still small.
When these bodies are classified as nameless, their human rights are equally denied by death and reality. Therefore, I collected this information to tell the story of an irreversible fact with the marginalized group that is overshadowed by the collective and society.
In the center of the space is a cart with many sealed spherical objects. Those objects are made up of countless messages collected from nameless corpses website entwined and growing from small to large. The scattered information piled up the cart and hung all over the space. A mechanical voice played the info around the room, making it feel cold and numb.

密封距离是一个沉浸装置作品，灵感源于一个中国网站：国内无名尸数据库。我试图讨论网站背后无法衡量和逾越的生死距离，以及人类这个庞大群体却仍是渺小的悲伤事实。
当这些身体被归类为无名尸的那一刻，他们的人权同样被死亡和现实剥夺。我结合这些信息来讲述一个不可逆转的事实与被集体和社会遮盖的边缘群体。
空间中央是一个推车，上面是一个个被密封的球形物体。从近处看，球形物体由无数条收集到的无名尸体信息缠绕而成，从小变大。散落的信息堆满了推车，挂满了整个空间。一个机械般的声音在空间四周播放着这些信息，使人感受到寒冷与麻木。

Can a massive pile of data remember and honor those who have left? In the relationship of unmeasured distance, the existence of the nameless corpse shows more objectively the individual's identity in the larger group, the human status under the laws of nature and the universe. It shatters the illusion of anthropocentrism.
庞大的数据堆砌是否真的能记起和纪念已经离开的人？在无法测量的距离关系下，无名尸体的存在更客观地展现了个体在大群体中的身份、自然规律下的人类地位和宇宙。打破了人类中心主义的幻想。
